Summary |
"An understanding of the true nature of the Soviet Union and its tendencies is the first duty of all who love freedom in the world today. Without such understanding free societies may perish everywhere, mowed down one by one by the ruthless sweep of Communist aggression. That the achievement of understanding is difficult requires no documentation. Yet the Soviet Union is by no means a land of complete mystery. While many aspects of life behind the "iron curtain" cannot be known, the main outlines of the Soviet system, of Soviet purposes, of Soviet methods, and of Soviet morals are easily discernible."
